Marantz announces the SR5104 and SR6014-- a pair of 4K UHD AV receivers. Designed with custom installers in mind, the AVRs claim the latest in remote management via Domotz Pro, ihiji Invision and OvrC, as well as RS232C and IP control capabilities.

The SR6104 features high-current discrete power amplifiers on all channels to deliver 110W per channel (8 ohm, 20Hz-20kHz, 0.08% THD, 2-channel driven). Low impedance driver capability allows the SR6014 to offer operational stability with a wide range of speakers. It handles an array of multi-dimensional audio formats, including Imax Enhanced, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and DTS Virtual:X.

Both SR6014 and SR5014 add Dolby Atmos Height Virtualisation technology to provide an object-based listening experience without need for dedicated height or surround speakers. Installers can configure up to seven channels for a 7.1 setting, while the technology adds virtualised height effects.

Access Networks announces a partnership with Domotz-- one bringing a flexible and scalable Domotz remote network monitoring and management solution in every newly deployed Core Custom System.

According to the two companies, the decision to deploy Domotz solutions in Access Networks products was driven by the engineering power, fluidity and agility of Domotz as a company. The collaboration also enables both companies to learn from each other and enhance their product offerings to better meet the needs of luxury smart homes.

Studio Six Digital presents the dBPod smart sound level meter at InfoComm 2019-- a means for easy sound level management allowing customers to gather data onsite or remotely.

The dBPod features coloured LED lights providing a clear visual status in real-time, together with a companion app for more in depth data. To do so it uses a MEMS wideband omnidirectional microphone coupled with an audio interface, a microprocessor, flash memory, a lithium ion battery and an audio jack to create a powerful measurement tool.

Edinburgh-based Boundary Technologies takes to Kickstarter to launch the Boundary Alarm, a security system promising easy and reliable operation, as well as adherence to British and European security standards.

Founded by Robin Knox and Paul Walton, the two entrepreneurs behind IntelligentPOS (which was acquired by iZettle in 2016), Boundary Technologies promises to offer a smart and wireless security system. Homeowners can control the Boundary Security System via mobile device app. The system connects to the mobile phone network, and alerts users in case it detects intruders, even if the criminals manage to cut the phone lines and broadband connection.
