Hi-fi speaker maker Morel takes to Kickstarter to launch Nomadic Audio-- the "highest end portable speaker" customers can snap into a suitcase in order to enhance the sound produced.
The Nomadic Audio speaker consists of two components, the aforementioned Nomadic stereo speaker and the Speakase suitcase. The speaker carries two 6- by 4-inch woofers in a boxless design and two soft dome 22mm tweeters allowing it to cover the entire frequency range, together with a 60W Class D amplifier and 2200mAh battery. Connectivity comes through either Bluetooth 4.2 with aptX and stereo pairing (TWS) ability or wired 3.5mm jack.
First seen back at CES 2018, the XF90 range offers 14-bit signal processing capable of breaking up solid bands of colour to smooth out the gradation between shades. The result, the company claims, is colour levels 64x better than standard conventional display. Another technology found in the TVs is X-tended dynamic Range PRO 6x, which brings out detail in dark scenes while making bright scenes brighter.
“With our 2018 TV lineup, we are changing the definition of visual display to Intelligent Displays," the company says. "Designed for total immersion and to enhance the daily lives of consumers everywhere, all while being incredibly easy to use.”
The Hue outdoor range spans both white and colour ambiance ranges, allowing users to create the "perfect outdoor ambiance" via companion app or voice. A Home & Away feature switches the lights on automatically once the homeowner returns home using smartphone location awareness, and scheduling functionality is also included.
The HD27e projects 1920 x 1080 images with native 16:9 aspect ratio, full Rec. 709 colour via RGBRGB colour wheel, 1.47:1 throw ratio and 25000:1 contrast ratio. It is 3D-compatible, and maximum brightness clocks at 3400 lumens. Audio comes through integrated 10W speaker.
The MT2 features tracking force, anti-skate force, cartridge overhang and arm height preset in the factory, and as such should be plug 'n' play. It has a moving coil cartridge with sufficient output for compatibility with both moving coil phono inputs and moving magnet equivalents, with a design combining an alloy cantilever with an elliptical diamond stylus.
