ELAN claims to raise the bar in home automation with the Intelligent Video Doorbell, a product bringing seamless integration and advanced features adding to the intelligent home experience.
According to ELAN, many video doorbells often require a separate app, and do not fully integrate into home control systems. However, the ELAN Intelligent Video Doorbell offers intelligent features adding peace-of-mind to the main access point of the home. For instance, it integrates motion analytics to accurately report real motion events, eliminating false alerts.
In addition, the doorbell improves security by acting as an ELAN system surveillance camera. As such, the ELAN NVR captures video, and all is controllable through the ELAN app. Fully integrating the doorbell with the control system enables installers to create sequences of automated events, such as turning on lights in case of motion detected during evening and night time hours.
Upgrades include the ability to generation documentation reports in Spanish, the specification of soundbar products within the tool and a Project Progress feature. Project Progress allows users to demonstrate the phase the project is in, including sales agreed, trim out, first fix and second fix stages.
The RC1 provides users with track forward and backward, volume up and down and play/pause controls, as well as up to 10 custom presets. It is compatible with any Gen 2 or Gen 2i Bluesound player out of the box, as well as BluOS-enabled products from sister brand NAD Electronics, including the Maseters M50.2 Digital Music Player, Masters M10 BluOS Streaming Amplifier, C 658 BluOS Streaming DAC (coming soon), and a number of products from the Custom Install line.
Sets receiving the update include the E9 (65- and 55-inch), C- (77-, 65- and 55-inch) and B9 (65- and 55-inch). G-Sync support promises "the smoothest, most immersive gaming experience," with images free of flickering, tearing or stuttering. However, to take advantage of graphics optimised for TVs up to 77-inch in size customers need to own PCs powered by either GeForce RTX 20 or GTX 16-series GPUs.
