To do so the single platform has to manage an entire ecosystem of smart device and appliances, no matter the brand, instead of using a multitude of standalone subsystems. The PanL hub is the main part of the system. It connects to home internet, allowing connection to the various sensors and controllers.

Abode releases an update adding Apple HomeKit compatibility to the Iota all-in-one home security solution, enabling control through Apple Home app and Siri on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Home Pod.

The Iota system features a built-in HD camera, motion sensor, two-way audio and wifi connectivity. HomeKit allows Apple users to add the Iota directly to the Home app, providing a single means to control the smart home. In addition, customers can add all Adobe-branded motion, door and window sensors connected to the Iota gateway to the Home app.
