Smart home get a different means of control from SnapAV in the shape of the Neeo Remote-- a touchscreen remote offering "highly-refined" home entertainment control through the Control4 Smart Home OS 3 platform.

The Neeo features a sleek design, and provides users with fast access to commonly used features, such as favourite streaming services, most-watched TV stations, playlists, room- or household-level smart home scenes, and more. SnapAV says it is the first Control4 remote bringing together the benefits of hard buttons and a touchscreen, making a fully personalised smart home interface.

Canadian hifi maker Simaudio goes global with Moon International, a sales and distribution outfit providing marketing and strategy for all Moon Export partners in local markets.

Set for a 6 January 2020 launch, Moon International will have offices in France and the UK, as well as a distribution hub in the Netherlands. Heading it are Etienne Gautier and John Carroll. Gautier has worked with Simaudio for 10 years, and John has been a Simaudio distributor for two decades. Both say Moon is not a product range, but "an attitude and philosophy," and the creation of Moon International will better serve a growing customer base.

The latest loudspeaker from the Meridian Audiio architectural range is the DSP750, an in-wall digital active loudspeaker claiming a host of exclusive Meridian technologies, such as the CLASS-M DSP engine.

According to the company, the CLASS-M DSP engine provides thermal and dynamic bass protection, allowing for detailed and accurate sound. A "double-baffle" aluminium enclosure design minimises unwanted resonance and coloration, while separate mid-range driver enclosures eliminate interaction with the bass drivers.

KanexPro announces a line of certified high-speed HDMI cables, including Super Slim, Certified Premium, Active Fibre, Active Fibire High-Speed DisplayPort 1.4, and Active 18G models.

The Super Slim 18Gbps cables are available in 60cm (CBL-HDMICERTSS3FT) and 90cm (CBL-HDMICERTSS6FT) lengths, and are designed to provide high performance in tight spaces. The 36/34AWG cable is designed for enhanced airflow through racks and cabinets, simplifying wire management.
