The resurgence of vinyl records is still going strong, and Austria-based startup Rebeat Innovation is looking to improve on the venerable technology through the introduction of "high definition vinyl."
As Pitchfork reports, Rebeat recently received $4.8 million in funding for the initiative. Based on a patent first filed back in 2016, HD vinyl involves converting audio into a 3D topographic map, before etching said map on the vinyl via laser. The result, according to Rebeat, is LPs with up to 30% more playing time, 30% more amplitude and "overall more faithful sound reproduction."
While the A1 OLED TVs feature a "standless" design with a tilted display, the AF8 sit upright on a traditional rectangular stand. Otherwise the AF8 TVs (namely the KD-55AF8 and KD-65AF8) are identical to their A1 siblings, since they carry the same OLED panel and 4K HDR X1 Extreme processor.
The LX-UH1 uses an RGBRGB colour wheel to cover 100% of the Rec. 709 colour space. It also downscales wider colour gamuts, and is compatible with both HDR10 and HLG HDR formats. Customers can engage a two-position automatic aperture when viewing HDR content, allowing more dynamic imagery.

The Covid HDMI cable line gets a pair of additions-- the locking HDMI cable (HDLK) and right-angle HDMI cable (HD-RA), both designed to tackle common HDMI cabling issues.
The app features quick access to the Navigation Drawer holding all local music libraries, streaming music services and personalised playlist. The Player Drawer prioritises the most important controls and multi-room grouping buttons, while a simplified browse model makes searching for albums, artists and songs easier.
