According to Futuresource Consulting, global spending on consumer entertainment content (video, games and music) remains on the up-- and is set to reach $439 billion by 2021, a 17% increase from 2017.

Anker-owned smart home brand Eufy takes to Kickstarter to launch the EverCam-- a wireless security camera the company says is ideal for both indoor and outdoor use.

The EverCam promises to run wire-free on a battery (a 13400mAh lithium-ion number from Anker) allowing up to 1 year of use on a single charge. Further boosting battery life is a low-power standby mode ensuring the camera only wakes up and starts recording whenever motion is detected, as well as connectivity with an indoor base station using a low-frequency wireless protocol. In turn the base station connects to the internet and users' PCs and smartphones via wifi.
