Indy Audio Labs brand Acurus joins the Cinema Designer (TCD) manufacturer database of home theatre design software, allowing installers and delaers using TCD to add Acurus home theatre processors and amplifiers in their designs.
TCD allows one to design everything from small media rooms right up to high render channel count immersive audio home theatres. It brings the entire cinema design process, from creating 3D CAD drawings and 3D renders to working out the mathematics associated with technically correct cinema and media room design, in a single place, automatically updating calculations and ideal equipment placement in real-time.
In terms of looks the Galaxy Home is an odd one, being a fabric-covered bulb-shaped device sitting on top of three stubby metal legs. The flat top has buttons for track skipping and volume control, and inside are 6 speakers and a subwoofer able to produce virtual surround audio, together with 8 far-field microphones for voice input.
Part of the HomeAssure wifi product range, the VAP4641 is a wall plug mounted extender. It features 4x4 antennas and 802.11ac capability, and leverages EasyMesh to extend wifi over greater distances at faster speeds. EasyMesh certification also means customers will be able to use the VAP4641 with other certified products, at least once networking vendors start releasing them.
