iRoom announces the iTop OnWall, a universal wall docking station with store-charge-lock and control for all iPad models and sizes, from the iPad Mini up to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
The adjustable, sliding charging connector enables a fit for every iPad model, while the locking structure makes the iTop OnWall flexible for the entire family or multiple business users. Designed for simple stand-alone IP control or 3rd party control system integration, the dock has a built-in control processor with a six-button control keypad able to work independently of the tablet. A proximity sensor unlocks the iPad screen and can trigger a control command.
Developed together with rack and cable management experts at Middle Atlantic Products, the AC1050 5-inch mounting plate allows the mounting of a variety of 3rd party devices into the enclosures. The mounting hole pattern is inspired by the Middle Atlantic Level Lock System for small AV devices, providing flexible mounting options. Construction is in durable, wifi-transparent ABS plastic, and it can be mounted either vertically or horizontally (half-width) within the On-Q plastic enclosures to fit any configuration. The unit has 1.5-inches of elevation to support mounting devices on both sides of the plate, freeing up space in the enclosure and accommodating protruding devices such as antennas. The package comes complete with 90cm of hook and loop velcro strapping to safely secure wired and wireless devices.
The AC/DC Enabler is a patented, UL-certified and globally compatible 30 x 15 x 8mm solid-state digital power management and control system. Combined with the patented Amber AC Switch, the two foundational technologies represent a "breakthrough" in the software management of electricity through solid-state architecture. Amber says it has already integrated the technology into fully demonstrable solid-state products, such as a smart programmable retrofit circuit breaker.
Global shipments of smart home voice control devices total 141 million in 2019, and despite the impact on the key Chinese market in Q1 2020 the analyst predicts shipments of such devices will grow by close to 30% over last year. Of course, the full potential of voice control is unlocked in conjunction with other smart home devices. For example, customers can leverage voice to control and monitor smart locks, directly enabling the placement of deliveries in the home or another secure locations. Similarly, smart doorbells and video cameras can ensure deliveries are received securely, without need for face-to-face interaction or exposure.
