The industry training event is an invitation-only annual conference that offers Crestron Certified Programmers the opportunity to stay on top of the latest Crestron technology and industry best practices through a wide array of training classes, networking and sharing knowledge with other industry professionals.
The 2018 three-day training summits, held in USA and Europe, were attended by over 1200 premier Crestron Programmers, of which 228 were Master Technology Architects, filling 42 unique training classes and more than 200 sessions. With many courses to choose from, participants could focus on their particular areas of interest.
The Polk Assist also features a built-in Chromecast, allowing customers to group multiple Chromecast-enabled speakers and soundbars to create a multiroom setup using compatible audio apps, including Pandora, TuneIn, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, NPR and Spotify. The Google Home app provides setup and control. Connectivity comes via wifi.
The SI8000 features a built-in IP cameras allowing users to receive video calls when visitors ring the doorbell. An integrated strike provides the capability to unlock the door. Through integration with the RTI ecosystem residents can answer and unlock the door from intercom-compatible RTI controllers.
The VSX-LX303 is the less powerful of the two, with 170W of power per channel (into 6 ohms) and 9.2-channel audio in 5.2.4 or 7.2.2 configurations. Surround audio comes through "Multi-Channel Stereophonic Philosophy" treating discrete sound encoded in surround formats equally through a combination of Direct Energy amplification and MCACC calibration.
InfoComm 2018 sees FIBBR debut the Ultra Pro series fibre optic flexible HDMI solutions, capable of sending signals from 50m to 200m with 18Gbps certification by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF).
