McIntosh announces the MTI100-- an integrated turntable designed as a complete home audio system with a built-in amplifier, DAC, digital inputs and Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity.
Capable of both vinyl playback and music streaming, the only addition the MTI100 requires is a set of speakers. The belt-drive turntable plays both 33-1/3 and 45 rpm records, and features a machined-aluminium platter and matching machine-aluminium tonearm sitting on top of a 9.5mm glass and custom 6.35mm metal plate. The included cartridge is a Sumiko Olympia moving magnet complete with upgraded stylus and cantilever assembly.
The receivers and processors will receive a firmware update allowing reproduction of the full dynamic range of a proprietary IMAX audio mix, as translated for home theatre environments and delivered using a variant of the DTS:X codec. Lexicon is one of the first IMAX Enhanced licensees, meaning it meets a set of performance standards set by a certification committee of IMAX and DTS engineers and technical specialists from Hollywood.
The 767DSS transmitter claims to be the first with a Dante 8-channel chipset, allowing installers to input up to 8 audio channels from the J+P system for playout on Dante-enabled and AES67 devices. It also can extract up to 8 channels from the audio network for playout across the J+P system. The 767DSS is backwards-compatible with legacy 2-channel Dante and AES67 devices, with bitrates of 176.4 and 192kHz and latency as low as 0.25ms on a 1 gigabit ethernet backbone.

The OdysseyX and EpicXL join several recently launched loudspeaker cables offering improved performance over the previous versions. XPLE promises improved phase properties over PTFE insulation, while offering a lower pricepoint compared to the flagship Taylon insulation. Cables featuring the technology also include silver-plated ChordOhmic speaker plugs.
The Caséta fan control promises to be easy to install and set up, and makes most ceiling fans "smart" and wirelessly adjustable within minutes. The fan control is compatible with a single 1.5A ceiling fan, offers 4 fan speeds and can set a favourite speed setting. Installation requires a neutral wire and should take all of 15 minutes, and does not require a canopy module.
