Aurora expands the Digital Xtreme Series with the DXE-CAT-S2-- the first HDBaseT CAT extender from the company, using either Power over Ethernet (PoE) or an AC adapter on either transmitter or receiver ends.
The company claims the DXE-CAT-S3 uses a single CAT 5e/6/7 cable to go up to 100m at 1080p 60Hz 48bit colour depth with bi-directiona RS-232, IR and LAN. Single-sided LAN, HDMI, control and power connections ensure cleaner wiring, as well as a rack mounting solution.
It offers 340MHz bandwidth with 4Kx2K resolution support, and comes inside a compact 10 x 7cm metal enclosure.
