Gira announces the addition of more functionality to the System 3000 blind controller at Light + Building 2019-- a lighting feature through modules offering both blind and lighting control from one easy-to-fit unit.
The company says the feature is not a simple extension, but a consistent integration of the control functions for lighting and blinds. Thus the lighting and blind controller inserts not only fit all system top units, but the top units automatically detect whether they are placed on a light or blind insert, and adjust functionality accordingly. The result is a transparent system with few components but many functions..
Previously the System 3000 blind controller contained the Standard and Memory operating top units, as well as the blind timer with display. The trade show sees the launch of the blind timer and timer Bluetooth, the motion detector top unit 1.10m Standard, the motion detector top unit 2.20m Komfort Bluetooth and the presence and motion detector 360-degree top unit Bluetooth.
Bluetooth adds programming and operation via the Gira companion app. Ideal for customers in want for simplicity, the app does not require any special programming tools or even network connectivity. Meanwhile the consistent multiple use of system top units for light and blind functions brings a reduction in system components, leading to greater transparency and lower storage volume.
