According to Dutch news site iCulture the Philips Hue lighting range is getting a much wanted addition-- a smart plug compatible with Apple HomeKit, Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa.
The news source is uncertain as to whether the smart plug requires the Philips Hue bridge device. Instead it simply says the plug handles different kinds of connected devices, with control coming through schedules, timers and sensors as well as voice via the aforementioned compatible assistants. A leaked image shows a fairly small device with a button on the top, and it will be available in both UK and European versions.
In addition, iCulture says the Hue range will get more lighting options, including filament smart bulbs, a revision of the GU10 lamps, lighting fixtures for mirror adornments and a design update of the Hue Go table lamp.
We expect to learn more about the latest in the Philips Hue range come IFA 2019.
