Crestron Ships Horizon Keypads

Crestron starts shipping the Horizon keypad line-- available in configurable single-gang models combining up to four across, making an advanced custom control solution as part of a complete Crestron smart home.

Crestron HorizonFirst seen back at ISE 2018, the keypads are highly configurable and offer designer aesthetics, improved button feel, programmable multi-colour backlighting, interchangeable custom top and bottom trim pieces and Cresnet wired communications. The backlighting illuminates the laser-engraved text on the buttons, and can glow up to two or three times brighter than inactive buttons.

The Cresnet bus acts as the communications backbone for Horizon keypads, alongside many Crestron lighting controllers, shades, motors, sensors and other devices. Cresnet is a simple yet flexible four-wire network providing bidirectional communication and 24VDC power. It supports up to 252 keypads and other devices.

“These stunningly beautiful keypads provide Crestron residential dealers, as well as interior designers and architects, with incredible flexibility in both control and design,” the company says. “Inviting to the touch and appealing to the eye, Horizon keypads deliver a premier user experience combined with bespoke design for homeowners.”
