Lutron Extends Keypad, Dimmer Family

Lutron announces a number of expansions to its signature lighting control systems, promising to bring both fashion and functionality to the HomeWorks QS and RadioRa 2 control systems.

Lutron keypadThe HomeWorks QS system gets "subtle elegance" with the Palladiom keypad, a minimalist number featuring simple operation and a "beautiful architectural aesthetic." In a company first the keypad has buttons and faceplates in the same material (plastic, glass or metal) for a coordinated look, as well as large, tactile buttons with backlit engraved text.

Lutron Dynamic Backlight Management allows customers to set the right backlight intensity for any ambient lighting conditions.

Meanwhile the touch-sensitive GRAFIK T dimmer series gets a new phase selectable dimmer compatible with any load type, including LEDs. Another addition to the series is a hybrid keypad designed to replace light switches and provide dimming control to the attached load while also functioning as a keypad.

GRAPHIK T dimmers and switches have no knobs, buttons or sliders-- instead users simply have to touch anywhere along the LED light bar to set lights to the desired level.

Another addition is the seeTouch CL Hybrid Keypad, now able to control LED loads while maintaining high performance dimming, flexible button configurations and custom engraved buttons with backlighting.

Lutron also offers a number of accessories, including 15 amp and 20 amp duplex receptacles as well as USB and GFCI receptacles allowing the ganging of Palladium and GRAFIK T.

All the above mentioned products should be available from early 2016.
