CEDIA announces multiple changes to key events and timelines-- including the CEDIA Awards and Leadership Conferences-- the result of continued global disruption brought about by the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The deadline for CEDIA Awards entries has been moved to 1 June 2020, including entries for both installers and manufacturers/trade suppliers. The organisation is still to finalise the location and date for the 2020 CEDIA EMEA Awards Celebration. The awards were originally set to take place in London in autumn 2020.
As for the CEDIA Leadership Summit, while it was previously slated to coincide with the CEDIA Americas awards celebration in Chicago in June, the in-person edition of the summit has been removed from the calendar.
"While we were incredibly excited about the programming we were building for the CEDIA Awards and Leadership Conference, it seems unlikely that travel to an event of this nature would be possible for a majority of our members at this time or in the near future," CEDIA says. "For members who are looking for ways to connect and learn during this challenging time I would encourage you to check out the wide variety of webinars, financial sessions, and roundtable discussions that CEDIA is hosting."
