To The Tower! Step Up for the CEDIA AWARDS 2013

Tower of London

As anticipation builds up for this year’s CEDIA Awards, the Oscars of installation, CEDIA announces the sponsors: exclusive Platinum sponsor AMX, gold sponsors Crestron and Control 4, and Kaleidescape and Rako as Silver sponsors

All will have a presence at the event on Friday 28 June at The Pavilion, The Tower of London.

This year’s venue by itself is worth the visit. Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, more commonly known as The Tower of London sits on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It was erected at the end of 1066, part of the Norman conquest of England.

The White Tower, which gives the castle its name, was built by William the Conqueror in 1078 and one can imagine it won many installation awards of its own at The Norman Custom Install ceremony of that year. (And if it didn’t, well, off with the heads of the judges!)

The event promises to be a royal affair immersed in history, with the gala held in an exclusive marquee within the North Moat. In coming to this prestigious, historic site, the movers and shakers of custom installation will follow the footsteps of more than 2 million visitors a year because The Tower of London is one of the City's most iconic landmarks and is the oldest royal castle in Europe.

With over 150 Early Bird tickets already sold for this black tie event, you may still order tickets (and it includes a sit down dinner and drinks—a hospitality that you can bet most visitors to The Tower never received) priced at £130 per person, or £1100 for a table of ten, excluding VAT. The discount is available until Friday 5th April 2013.

Buying tickets to the awards will also help a good cause: CEDIA has agreed to donate £5 of every ticket to Macmillan Cancer support.

Overseeing the judging process will be Gary Lewis, CEDIA Chairman and Director of Cornflake.

The first round of judging is carried out by the panel who are all highly skilled industry experts. Collectively the panel will assess how well every entry meets each categories technical criteria, which will result in the deciding of the Awards shortlisting for 2013.

The full list of categories is as follows:

The CEDIA Awards are open only to CEDIA member companies. Entry to the Awards will be kept anonymous to maintain the integrity of the scheme and to deliver honest and unbiased results.
