The PolarMax Aerie Tension from EPV Screens is a motorised "in-ceiling" projector screen using a specialty material able to reject the washout effects of ceiling lights, as well as off-axis ambient lighting.
EPV says the 1.3 Gain PolarStar ceiling and ambient light rejecting (CLR/ALR) material is durable enough for heavy use without degrading. It achieves off-axis light rejection by using a multi-layer matrix with reflective and absorbent micro-particles with high contrast diffusion layers to eliminate up to 85% of ambient light. It is ISF-certified and GREENGUARD/UL 2818 certified for safe indoor air quality emissions. A tab-tensioning system provides a flat, taut surface for optimal picture performance.
The retractable design provides a big screen performance without dedicating wall space to just one purpose. Thus, the customer can enjoy greater versatility with a disappearing screen when not in use. The Polar Max Aerie Tension ships fully assembled and ready to integrate into ceiling spaces either from within the room or an airspace above. The package includes a full IR and RF remote control kit together with a wireless 12V trigger to coordinate the screen drop and rise with the projector power cycle.
The screen is available in 103-133-inch sizes in a 16:9 aspect ratio.
