Draper Tackles Ambient Light With TecVision

Draper TecvisionThe Draper TecVision CH1200X ALR is a grey surface designed to address ambient light rejection (ALR) applications, making it ideal for environments with high ambient light and controlled viewing angles.

Draper says the screen has an ALR rating of 20, and rejects 80% of ambient light not produced by the projector. A high-contrast surface helps black retention, while a 1.2 gain surface helps brighten images in sizes up to 67 feet wide. Also included are a light-absorbing dark backing to prevent picture degradation from light being the screen and a non-perforated surface.

Like other TecVision screens the CH1200X ALR is 8K-ready and Imaging Science Foundation-certified for color accuracy, meaning users will not notice the blue tints present in images on many other ambient light rejecting screens. In addition, the CH1200X ALR is available as a Nanoperf surface for acoustical transparency.
