Optoma Intros HD142x Projector

Optoma presents a successor to the popular HD141x home theatre projector-- the HD142x, a 1080p update promising better colour and contrast within a smaller form factor.

Optoma HD142xThe HD142x adds an sRGB colour mode for accurate PC and Mac content and colour space. This complements the Reference Mode (reproduces accurate Rec.709 HDTV broadcast spec colours) to ensure content created for any source looks true and vibrant.

Contrast ratio also gets an increase to 23000:1, allowing for richer blacks, while lamp life clocks at up to 8000 hours. Further improvements come in the shape of a new optical lens and a smaller form factor with a rear I/O panel making installation easier.

Audio comes through built-in 10W speaker, and support for all HMDMI 1.4a mandatory 3D formats is included. Wireless device compatibility comes through MHL connectivity.

The HD142x ships from July 2016.
