Atlona starts shipping the Rondo family of HDMI distribution amplifiers, including the 448 (AT-RON-448) for 4K/UHD/HDR sources. The Rondo 448 is a 1x8 DA designed for either residential or retail environments.
Like the 1x2 Rondo 442 and the 1x4 Rondo 444, the Rondo 448 uses EDID management to sync between source and displays, and has a front panel LED for power, signal status and troubleshooting. In addition, installers can cascade up to 8 units without compromising performance or reliability, and installers can easily adapt or modify system designs as required.
The Rondo 448 is compatible with all video resolution, audio formats and colour space formats supported in the HDMI 2.0b specification, can pass metadata for HDR content and is HDCP 2.2 compliant. On the audio side it offers de-embedding to analog and coaxial S/PDIF outputs.
