Pakedge Device & Software launches the K61-A and K61U-A, two gateway appliances featuring 6 pre-configured VLANs, Pakedge BakPak monitoring and what Pakedge calls TruStream.
The K61U-A includes all features from the K61-A with the addition of Unified Threat Management (UTM), a technology providing parental controls and high security by blocking viruses, questionable websites and other unwanted content before it gets past the firewall.
Both models offer easy network setup with 6 pre-configured VLANs for optimum network performance even from high-data throughput devices such as HD IP cameras, streaming audio/video components, game systems and other clients.
Meanwhile TruStream technology recognises and categorises network traffic to give precedence to high-priority data such as streaming video, music and VoIP.
On the dealer side BakPak cloud management allows remote device monitoring, management and power cycle selection.
The K61-A and K61U-A are certified to meet Pakedge CASC standards, allowing them to receive commands from networked remotes and touch panels for seamless control and power-cycling integration.
