Dan D'Agostino Intros Progression Integrated Amplifier

Dan D'Agostino Master Audio Systems announces the Progression Integrated Amplifier, an addition to the Progression series promising the detail retrieval of the Progression Preamplifier and the power of the Progression Stereo Amplifier.

Progression Amplifier

Built on a modular platform, the Progression Integrated features an analogue base unit providing two single-ended inputs and three balanced inputs, including a home theatre passthrough. Balanced preamplifier outputs allow for the inclusion of one or more subwoofers into a system. The bass package includes Bluetooth connectivity, as first seen in the Progression and Momentum HD preamplifier, with a remote eliminating the sight issues of IR remote controls.

The amplifier carries heatsinks reminiscent of the flagship Relentless monoblock amplifier. Two analogue meters inspired by Swiss watchfaces function as signal level meters during music playback. The meter needles change to volume setting indicators when volume is adjusted. After adjustments are made, the meters revert back to signal level operation. The meters also function as balance, phase and mute indicators.

DDMAS technologies, such as discrete, balanced, direct-coupled circuity is paired with an output stage able to deliver 200W per channel in 8 Ohms and 400W per channel into 4 Ohms. A unique toroidal winding technology, first employed in the Momentum M400 amplifier, delivers greater power output from conventionally-sized transformers, enabling the Integrated to be a compact amplifier. The Integrated is suitable for all analogue sources except turntables. For turntable users DDMAS offers an optional moving coil phono stage module.

In other optional modules, a digital module adds a fully differential hi-res DAC and a full suite of capabilities. It eliminates external connection and adds coax, optical and USB inputs to the ethernet and wireless connectivity for in-house networking and internet streaming. Streaming services available on the system include Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer and Spotify, with MQA as the standard of choice for appropriately encoded streaming music files. Custom iOS apps provide easy control, and Roon Music management is also available.

The Progression Integrated amplifier is available now.
