Klipsch Debuts High-End Soundbars

Klipsch announces a pair of high-end soundbars promising to feature the look and sound of the premium Klipsch Reference speakers-- the BAR 48 and BAR 40, each featuring an own wireless subwoofer and enclosures in real wood.

KlipschThe BAR 48 is a 3.1 soundbar featuring a dedicated centre channel speaker for enhanced clarity, a wireless 8-inch subwoofer for deep bass and built-in surround sound processing technologies such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS and DTS-HD. Designed to fit below the TV screen, the slim-profile soundbar is 1.2m long and just 7cm tall, and can be either wall-mounted or placed on a table.

Installers can easily add optional SURROUND 3 speakers, turning the 3.1 soundbar into a full-fledged 5.1 surround system capable of natively delivering Dolby and DTS 5.1 formats.

On the other hand the BAR 40 is a 2.1 soundbar with a wireless 6.5-inch subwoofer designed to be an easy enhancement for underwhelming TV sound. It promises Klipsch acoustics, a built-in Dolby Audio decoder and enhanced virtual surround sound modes for a cinematic experience, all in a device 1m long and 7cm tall.

Both BAR 48 and BAR 40 use Bluetooth wireless technology, and should ship on Q4 2019.
