Nortek Security & Control (NSC) announces the SpeakerCraft Terrazza series Landscape System-- providing 360-degree outdoor sound through x4 landscape satellite speakers and either a traditional Burial or "Hardscape" subwoofer.
Unlike ultra-high performance landscape systems demanding high-power amplifiers, the Terrazza Landscape system is designed for use with low-power distributed audio amplifiers or extended audio zones (like Zone 2) from conventional AVRs. Such flexibility means installers do not need to add high-power amplification dedicated to an outdoor system.
Since not all outdoor spaces can accommodate an in-ground subwoofer, Terrazza offers a "Hardscape" option. SpeakerCraft says it is ideal for stone, concrete or brick patios, second floor decks and areas with rocky soil or high water tables.
The Terrazza system features satellite speakers with a 4-inch polypropylene cone woofer and a 3/4-inch titanium dome tweeter. They are made from a high strength, weed-killer resistant ABS with fibreglass-reinforced construction promising to make them durable for outdoor environments. Each speaker stake also has a wire exit hole and includes wire and silicone-filled wire nuts.
