JBL Brings Back Classic L100 Speaker

JBL L100JBL announces the return of the L100, the iconic 1970 loudspeaker best known for appearing in the iconic Maxell cassette tape adverts from the 1980s, not to mention being the best selling loudspeaker in JBL history.

The new version features the same retro walnut veneer design of the original, with a vintage Quadrex foam grille available in black, blue or orange. The L100 Classic is internally braced, and has a 25mm-thick baffle.

Inside the speaker are all new drivers, crossover network and advanced transducer technology. A 1-inch titanium dome tweeter is partnered with a 130mm polymer-coated pure pulp midrange cone and a 12-inch white pure pulp cone bass woofer. A single front-firing port tube provides tuning.

The speaker comes with adjustable mid- and high frequency controls, and sits on an optional JBL metal stand.
