T+A Adds to Flagship HV Range

T+A announces a trio of additions to the high-end HV series-- the SD 3100 HV DAC and streamer, the SDV 3100 HV DAC, streamer and analogue volume control, and the PDT 3100 HV SD/SACD transport.

T+A audio The SD 3100 HVD/A converter with streamer converts PCM signals at a maximum of 32-bit resolution and 768kHz, one the True 1-bit converter achieves DSD 1024 (49.2MHz). Meanwhile the SD 3100 HV includes a UAC3 USB receiver, making it capable of transferring sample rates up to PCM32 768 and native DSD 1024.

The unit provides direct access to FM, FM-HD and DAB+, as well as AptX Bluetooth streaming, and Room-Ready certification is in preparation. A relay-controlled volume control and one analogue input allow the SDV 3100 HV to function as a preamplifier in a high-end audio system. Both models are fitted with two separate mains sections for the analogue and digital sections, each with an own power supply.

According to T+A, the PDT 3100 HV carries a new decoder/drive mechanism able to read and decde discs without error. A top-loading mechanism allows users to instert discs without damage, with an anti-resonance puck holding them in place. In turm, PCM data from the CD is routed to the optical, coax and BNC digital outputs, as well as the professional AES-EBU socket.

Unique to T+A, the output enables the device to interact with the SDV 3100 HV and SD 3100 HV DACs. The high-resolution IPA Link is capable of high-speed data transfer up to the Gigahertz range, and is a proprietary connection passing PCM and DSD data with bit-precision. A heavy sub-chassis machined from solid metal houses the PDT 3100 HV mechanism for superior shielding and isolation.

All HV models ship in flight cases, and are available from March 2019.
