A Temperature Sensor With Gira KNX Mini Komfort

  • PDF

Gira adds an integrated temperature sensor to the Gira KNX Mini Komfort presence detector, allowing the sensor to respond to thermal motion in addition to light, leading to less energy waste.

Gira thermal sensor

The Gira KNX Mini Komfort not only adjusts lighting, but also measures room temperature and adjusts system settings accordingly to create the most comfortable environment possible. The sensor measures the temperature and responds to thermal motion, meaning it can adjust the heating, ventilation or air-conditioning according to ho many people are in the room.

Gira Lights Up With Cube Motion Detector

  • PDF

Gira announces the Cube motion detector-- a means to automate exterior home lighting through changes in both ambient light and thermal motion, with precision sensors ensuring lights only switch on when necessary.

Gira Cube

The Cube motion detector monitors exterior lighting, and automatically switches it on when it identifies the ambient brightness or thermal motion from a passer-by. The sensors promise to minimise energy waste, and should not respond to events such as gusts of wind or torrential rain. The Cube is set at a 120-degree detection angle, and installers can alter it to 240-degrees, making it suitable for both confined spaces and areas in need of extra-wide range.

ABB Flexes in Smart Lighting

  • PDF

ABB gives customers control of blinds and lights from any mobile device with ABB-free@home flex, a system using Bluetooth connectivity for home control without need for additional wiring.

ABB LightingUsers can control the ABB-free@home flex system using the companion ABB-free@home app complete with the management of functions such as blinds or lights. The app also helps with energy consumption, since users can easily switch off the lights when a room is unoccupied. The system is future-proof, and can be upgraded to a full ABB-free@home smart home solution through the integration of a System Access Point.

For further flexibility, timers can set lights to come on at key time. Users can save scenes on the rocker, moving the blinds to a pre-defined position to avoid the glare of the sun in the middle of Summer. For greater control, the app links with movement detectors to program lights to different illumination level depending on the time of day.
