Screen Innovations announces the Solo Pro-- a range of highly customisable motorised screens a single person can carry and install in 5 minutes-- is available with an ambient light rejecting (ALR) Short Throw screen material.
The company says the combination of Solo Pro with the ALR Short Throw material overcomes some of the obstacles traditionally associated with two-piece projection. Lithium-rechargeable and low-voltage options mean an electrician is no longer required, enabling two-piece projection nearly anywhere.
The Home Cinema 4010 uses three LCD panels to create three 1080p microdisplays. The result is images with maximum input resolution of 4096 x 2160, as well as 10-bit colour, 200000:1 contrast ratio and HDR10 support (but no Dolby Vision or HDR10+). Image brightness reaches a maximum of 2400 lumens.
As well as voice control, the UHL55 also includes auto focus and auto keystone correction, and NuForce stereo audio. The Android OS handles a number of media streaming apps, such as Netflix, YouTube, Spotify and BBC News, among others, and an Optoma Marketplace app provides easy access to streaming services and additional entertainment options.
As the premium model, the VPL-VW99ES carries an All Range Crisp Focus (ARC-F) lens, an 18-piece glass lens found in the first Sony 4K home projector, the VPL-VW1000ES, and the flagship VPL-VW5000ES. According to the company the ARC-F lens provides the best focus and resolution across the entire screen via Digital Focus Optimiser function. Peak brightness reaches 2200 lumens.
All the laser TV models use blue and red laser diodes, together with a Texas Instruments DLP 4K UHD display chip with XPR technology. Another addition is a built-in TV tuner for over-the-air channel access, and a Smart TV engine for streaming services such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, TikiLive and Pandora, among others.
The DLA-NX9 combines 8K e-shift pixel shifting with a 100mm diameter 18-element, 16-group all-glass lens to ensure high resolution into the extreme corner of the screen. Five low dispersion lenses suppress chromatic aberration and bleeding, while a variety of techniques reduce light scattering and light diffraction, improving brightness and black levels.
The new Director's Choices promises a viewing area increase of up to 30%, thanks to a frame reduced by 75%. The result is a more streamlined look, with four-way variable system masking eliminating vertical and horizontal black bars around the image. Since content comes in all shapes and sizes, Director's Choice accommodates all by automatically adjusting aspect ratios, providing limitless flexibility as well custom craftsmanship, robust sizes and 16K+ capabilities.
