Based on the award-winning Optix HD projector, projectiondesign's avielo Optix 3D adds the company's image processing to display 3D stereo from HDMI 1.4 and DVI outputs.

To deliver its 3D images the projector uses specially designed high-res lenses with aspherical glass elements and enchanced low-dispersion glass.

Avielo says full bandwidth processing and imaging are used, meaning no reduction in resolution and image quality.

Projected image size is up to 4m wide, with 1920 x 1080 resolution.

It also receives software upgrades via built-in network connection.

SpectraCal introduces its 3DCalibration solution, the AVFoundry VideoForge.

The 3D video-pattern generator works with the company's CalMAN software. With the generator, installers and home theater owners can test for all 3D formats, as well as specific 3D system functions through patterns like 3D Left Eye/Right Eye Gating to test stereo separation. In addition, the product offers resolution tests that range from 480i/30Hz to 1080p/60Hz, and PC resolutions up to 1600x1200/75Hz.

One of the world's first combo digital camera and LCoS Pico projector... 

Nikon will ship in USA next month its Coolpix S1000pj ($430 suggested retail), one of the world's first combo digital camera and LCoS Pico projector.

The Coolpix S1000pj, featuring a built-in video projector for displaying still images and video clips on the go, combines the ability to shoot high-resolution photos and play them back instantly on a screen up to 40", virtually anywhere a white background can be found.

The projector uses LCoS display technology and LED lighting to produce an image brightness level of up to 10 ANSI lumens.

The camera will not include inputs for external source devices. The playback function will include a built-in slideshow presentation with music effects and creative transitions.

Key features in the combo camera include 12.1-megapixel resolution; variable wide ISO range, including 64 to 6400 speeds; a 2.7" wide-angle LCD; 5-way vibration reduction (VR) image-stabilization system; subject tracking; and movie mode.
