Extron announces a trio of TouchLink Pro touchpanel models-- the 12-inch TLP Pro 1220TG, the 10-inch TLP Pro 1022T and the 5-inch TLC Pro 521M, all featuring capacitive and vibrant glass touchscreens.

The TLP Pro 1220TG features video preview inputs that support high resolution HDCP-compliant video from HDMI sources and Extron XTP devices, while the TLC Pro 521M features a secure and powerful built-in control processor and ethernet-controllable device support. All three touchpanels feature faster processing and more memory.

For ease of integration, these touchpanels receive power and communication over a single Ethernet cable, with a design and features ideal for control applications requiring fully-customisable touchpanels with flexible mounting options. According to the company the touchpanels are designed for use in AV systems demanding complete interactive control of a broad range of devices. All operate on standard networking infrastructure using ethernet cable, and are customisable via Extron GUI Designer software.

Customers demanding home control via HDTVs might be interested in the Logitech Harmony for Google TV-- since the latest version allows one to do exactly that in conjunction with the Harmony devices.

URC announces HomeSet-- a streamlined control system optimised for the home security solutions channel built from the ground up with new technology, new hardware and new software.

The system consists of the C100 HomeSet automation hub and the optional R100 remote control. It integrates with Z-Wave devices, Nest, Sonos and many other popular devices, and can control up to 8 rooms. Cloud-based programming and maintenance allowing compatibility with other cloud-based systems.

A companion HomeSet app launches of up to 8 embedded apps, and is compatible with control apps from major security and alarm panel vendors. An online portal provides configuration and guided setup from any device with an internet browser.

URC announces the TKP-5500-- an in-wall touchscreen for the company's Total Control smart home automation system featuring a high resolution 5-inch colour touchscreen.

Compatible with all URC TC Advanced Network Controller models (MRX-8/10/20), the TKP-5500 is mountable in either portrait or landscape modes in a standard single-gang wall box. It handles all Total Control features, including IP cameras, 3rd party devices (2-way), Z-Wave control, SNP-2, timers, events, rooms menu (can switch the controlled room) and room linking for URC DMS products.
