Active Thermal Management launches Cool-slim-- a slim component cooler designed to boost existing (but insufficient) ventilation for A/V components.

Ideal for overheating problems due to components sitting on closely-spaced shelves, you only need to put it on top of a hot component needing more ventilation.

Uses all-electronic thermal switching circuitry, it pulls hot air out, discharging it to the front and rear, cooling components with and without vent openings in their top covers.

The Cool-slim is only 4cm high-- or 3cm if you remove the feet.

Extron launches the HDMI DA2-- a 1-input, 2-output distribution amplifier for HDMI video and embedded multi-channel digital audio supporting HDMI (at 6.75 Gbps), Deep Colour (up to 12-bit), 3D, Lip Sync and HD lossless audio formats.

It is HDCP-compliant and supports all HDTV rates (including 1080p/60) and PC resolutions up to 1920x1200.

The HDMI DS2 also carries 2 Extron-exclusive technologies-- EDID Minder (maintains continuous EDID communication between connected devices) and Key Minder (authenticates and maintains continuous HDCP encryption between input and output devices).

Other features include automatic input cable equalization (restores and reshapes incoming HDMI signals, reducing the need for additional signal conditioning equipment by compensating for weak source signals or signal loss from a long input cable), automatic bit depth management, selectable output muting and indicators for monitoring and troubleshooting.

At ISE 2012, Arrive showed the RAVE HD-DUTP-T/R 30, a 30m (98ft) transport over dual CAT 5e/CAT6 wire mini-passive adapter module.

This is a convenient method for sending uncompressed HDMI from a sender to a receiver module.

The HDMI port can also be connected to a DVI source or destination devices using HDMI-DVI converter cables or adaptors. For install convenience this model is small and modular and does not require external power.

It offers 340MHz bandwidth with 4Kx2K resolution support, and comes inside a compact 10 x 7cm metal enclosure.
