The camera has a 120-degree wide-angle lens, allowing customers to capture faces and license plates from multiple angles. True Detect heat-sensing technology prevents false-alarm triggers of the pet movement or tree blowing variety, while heat-based PIR (Passive Infrared) motion detection distinguishes the heat of larger objects, including people and cars.
The Deadbolt 2S is 11m thick at the front panel, and provides keyless access to homes via either Bluetooth keys or PIN codes created through companion Igloohome app. The physical key remains an option as backup, and the Deadbolt 2S needs no internet connectivity, making it safe from wifi hacking attacks. Finally, customers renting out property via Airbnb can also synchronise the Deadbolt 2S with a listing calendar to automatically create PIN codes for guests. Further features include a tamper alarm, decoy security code, privacy mode and auto-relocking.

In turn the base station connects to the internet and users' PCs and smartphones via wifi.
