Smart Building Conference

Integrated Systems Events brings its Smart Building Conference to London, Tuesday 15 October.

A joint venture of the company’s not-for-profit association owners, CEDIA and InfoComm International, the Conference drew a sell-out attendance of more than 150 professional delegates when held for the first time in Amsterdam at ISE 2013.

The agenda places the AV industry at the heart of the UK’s intelligent building debate.

“After an extensive period of industry consultation, we are convinced that smart buildings represent a fantastic opportunity for the professional AV and electronic systems integration industry,” says Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Events.

“The ability of AV professionals to integrate the disparate technologies in a building into an efficient, manageable and scalable system is without parallel anywhere in the construction business. We see the Smart Building Conference as the premier forum in which our community can learn about the opportunities that are available to it and how those opportunities can best be exploited.”

AV Systems Performance Verification Standard

InfoComm is working hard via its volunteer committees to make one of the most important tools you could ever have…

To simplify it, let’s just call it more than “a checklist,” a standards document that your people can use on each project to determine if it was done properly, to control that each step to completion is taken at the right time.

Imagine you go into a project and your project manager has this roadmap. It tells him not only when to turn left but it also tells him his “left-turn blinker” should have been on before he turned.

Truthfully, when you think about it, this is a tool you probably should have built long ago for yourself, for your employees, for your company. It takes advantage of your experiences and makes sure the project manager coming behind you doesn’t make the same mistakes.
