SI Releases Solo Screen Mounting System

  • PDF

Screen Innovations adds a mounting system for the compact form factor Solo and Solo Pro motorised screens-- the Solo Suspended Ceiling Mount System, a means to eliminate visible mounting hardware from the room.

SI Mounting system

The Solo Suspended Ceiling Mount System allows installers to mount the Solo low-voltage motorised screen cassette flush with the ceiling grid. Using the grid as the screen reveal eliminates the need for visible flush-mount trim, and allows installers to take advantage of the compact design of the Solo and Solo Pro. The system utilises a standard threaded rod to mount the brackets to the structure above. The cassette remains hidden from view, and the screen descends into the room through a thin opening.

Screen Innovations Brings Fontus Control

  • PDF

Screen Innovations announces Fontus, a means for installers to utilise wire already existing inside a home or commercial building to connect screens and shades to a modern control systems.

Fontus

As large as a pack of gum and easily mounted to a DIN rail, Fontus can make a two-conductor wire perform 485 communications as if it were an 8-conductor wire, significantly simplifying the installation. Essentially a dongle plugging into the SI Janus power and control hub, Fontus converts low-voltage communications signals and power from a five-conductor system for distribution over two-conductor wire. A second Fontus dongle decodes the signal for reception at the screen or shade with no signal loss.
