The ZigBee Alliance announces what it describes as a "major ongoing initiative" in making smart home and IoT products easier to develop, deploy and sell across ecosystems-- the All Hubs Initiative.
Driving the initiative are some of the biggest names in the industry, including Amazon, Comcast, Exegin, Kwikset, Landis+Gyr, LEEDARSON, Legrand, MMB Networks, NXP, OSRAM, Samsung SmartThings, Schneider Electric, Silicon Labs, Somfy and ubisys, among others. The goal, according to the Alliance, is to improve interoperability between IoT device and major consumer and commercial platforms.
The IP-Hub 2 is an IP-based audio distribution alternative to traditional 70V or 100V audio systems. It combines Attero Tech Axiom endpoints with Dante infrastructure to create a complete IP-based system, and features 2-channel DSP amplification with a multitude of power options, including PoE, PoE+, 40W PoE and 24V PX.
The collaboration should enable the two companies to learn from each other and enhance their product offerings to better meet the needs of luxury smart homes. In addition, as the joint release puts it, “integrators who offer live, proactive monitoring of their customers’ networks elevate their firm as an indispensable resource." Integrators can charge a monthly service fee to generate recurring revenue, or use complimentary service as a selling point for high-end customers, with Domotz making it easy to pair an Access Networks enterprise-grade network.
The 767DSS transmitter supports the latest Dante 8-channel chipset. It allows installers to input up to 8 audio channels from the J+P system for playout on Dante-enabled and AES67 devices and extract up to 8 channels from the audio network for playout across the J+P system. The 767DSS is backward-compatible with legacy 2-channel Dante and AES67 devices, while offering higher performance with lower compression (176.4 and 192kHz) and latency as low as 0.25 milliseconds on Gigabit ethernet. Built-in secondary connectivity provides glitch-free performance and redundancy for high-availability applications.
Designed for conference rooms, huddle spaces, classrooms, theatres and gaming spaces, the KD-Pro2x1X and KD-Pro4x1X allow installers to connect multiple video sources to a single display while analog (3.5mm and balanced/unbalanced) and digital (optical and PCM) audio de-embed ports feed audio from the selected source into an amplifier, DSP or soundbar. The latest product release features TOSlink optical audio output, a recently important feature due to simplified soundbars with only a TOSlink audio input.
The WA-2200 leverages next-generation wireless technology to improve wireless networking performance, thanks to a high-performance chipset promising faster speeds, lower latency and seamless roaming across the wireless network. BakPak cloud configuration allows support for both traditional setup via local UI and remote management and monitoring (RMM), making for faster and easier installation and configuration.
As the "best" model, the XAP-1610 is designed to enhance transmission and reception performance, producing higher throughput when experiencing medium to low signals within the effective range. It also promises a more stable connection with usable throughput. The "better" XAP-1510 features 802.11ac 3x3 dual-band technology for data rates up to 1900Mbps, while the "good" XAP-810 offers 802.11ac 2x2 dual-band technology for data rates reaching 1200Mbps.
