Sim2 celebrates its 15th anniversary-- with the introduction of a new luxury home projector line.

Crystal Sim 2The company's new Crystal 35 and 45 DLP HD projectors come in a stylish design by industrial designer Giorgio Revoldini, in either glass surfaced white or black. Inside is a DarkChip DLP chipset, handling 1080p HD content at either 2000 (Crystal 35) or 2600 (crystal 45) lumens. Both models' throw ratio is of 1.62~2.43:1.

The projectors' 10-bit video processor also reproduces standar definition sources at 1080p resolution. The line is compatible with all video standards, and comes with a choice of analog and digital inputs (including HDCP-compliant HDMI).

Also newly announced is an upgrade on the company's own C3X Lumis, the C3X Lumis 3D Solo. A 3-chip, single-lens system, it has high brightness (up to 3000 lumens), a 280W lamp and 10-bit video processing.

Sim2 says the Solo is designed for home theatre, media room and family/games room use, thus it comes with 3 user modes-- PureMovie (for movie watching in 2D), PureMotion (for fast-action sports viewing) and PureMotion 3D (for 3D content).

The company offers a choice of x3 glass lenses (T1, T2, T3), giving the Solo a total throw ration of 1.37-3.90:1.
