Gira launches a pair of surface-mounted solutions for the E2 and Standard 55 design line, compatible with 300 functional inserts via the System 55, allowing installers to expand and adapt each Gira switch system as required.
Installers get the additional option to interchange between different design lines, as well as the choice between either a flat or surface-mounted installation. The range, the company adds, is the answer to a rising needs for systematic light fittings, power points and switches devoid of cables and wiring.
The E2 switch with surface-mounted application promises over 300 intelligent functions through System 55. It is compatible with Senic Niumo Click and the "Friends of Hue" Smart Switch, among others, and the surface-mounted design enables the customisation of frames and switch profiles. It is available in one to two gang frames and three to five gang solutions as standard, and is made with a naturally antibacterial thermoplastic material. Construction is also shatterproof, UV-resistant and waterproof with an IP20 rating.
Meanwhile the Standard 55 is a simple surface-mounted switch for basic electrical installation. Customers get the option to expand and adapt as and when required. The System 55 enables many intelligent functions, similar to the E2, and construction is in impact-resistant plastic for increased electrical insulation and optical clarity.
The E2 is available in a number of colours, namely Black Matt, Pure White Matt, Anthracite, Aluminium (varnished), Pure White Glossy, and Stainless Steel. The Standard 55 ships in Pure White Matt, Pure White Glossy, and Cream White Glossy.
