Monitor Audio presents the 6th generation of Bronze Series loudspeakers, with eight models promising a complete upgrade in sound and build quality, together with the first Dolby Atmos-enabled module from the company.
First launched 20 years ago, the Bronze Series is the winner of multiple awards. The eight models making the 6th generation are the AMS Dolby Atmos-enabled speaker, 50 bookshelf, 100 bookshelf, FX rear speaker, W10 subwoofer, C150 centre speaker, 200 floorstander and 500 floorstander. They feature a uniform combined waveguide combined with the signature C-CAM gold tome tweeter for even sound dispersion, improved time alignment and wider directivity for a more lifelike listening experience.
All models except the 200 and 500 floorstanders are 2-way designs. The floorstanders are 2.5-way, and feature a pair of HiVe II ports. All speakers (except the woofer) have an in-room frequency range of 30Hz, with the lower-end varying depending on cabinet size from 40Hz for the 50 to 32Hz for the 500.
On the design aspect, the Bronze series features unique, acoustically transparent hexagonical dispersion patterns on the tweeter covers, allowing light to catch the distinctive gold tweeter domes behind the grillers. Gold-plated terminals and Pureflow silver-plated oxygen-free copper internal cabling offer secure cable connectivity, and the cabinets come in a choice of four contemporary finishes, black, white, walnut and urban gray.
