The Legrand Building Control Systems (BCS) division announces the Vantage EasyTouch Glass modular keypad station-- a keypad featuring up to five buttons within a design with a tactile surface aesthetic.

The five buttons are programmable for different scenes, such as "welcome," "away" or "party," allowing users to set the lighting in a space with one touch. EasyTouch Glass is the pre-programmed default keypad station within Vantage Design Centre software for standard lighting scenes and pre-configured Lighting for Life scenes. The keypad mutton matrix is the same as wired or wireless wall-box dimmers, allowing installers to select the best technologies for the application in question while maintaining a consistent aesthetic.

Customers can personalise the keypad by mixing or matching colours for trims, buttons and faceplate, with an inner-surface ink layering process ensuring consistent colour definition and reflectivity. Buttons are laser-engraved in a TrueType font, and the letters are illuminated by adjustable RGB backlighting. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the backlighting based on the time of day, and users can determine active scenes based on the colour or intensity of the button.

While other solutions separate load and scene functionality into different devices, EasyTouch Glass combines both in a single station, allowing installers to reduce the amount of keypads on the walls for a cleaner look. The keypad is ideal both stand-alone and in combination with Vantage Equinox touchscreens, as well as wireless applications. The device is simple to install in one- to four-gang electrical boxes.
