CEDIA tackles a cable considered the global standard for transmitting UHD video and audio in "HDBaseT for 4K & 8K Video," white paper aligning with the CEDIA mission to serve as the primary source for installation standards and guidelines.

The white paper starts with the development and specifications of HDBaseT, before moving to its ongoing evolution. It also covers a host of angles, including bandwidth challenges, compression, compatibility, Power-over-HDBaseT (PoH) approaches and system design and includes details running the gamut from the highly-technical to the practical after tapping into heavily-vetted source materials.
