The 2020 LG TV lineup starts rolling out, with the first models being 14 OLED offerings, including the "art-inspired" GX Gallery series, the "real 8K" ZX models and 4K UHD TVs.

The LG 2020 premium TVs promise to seamlessly integrate in any space while providing the best viewing experience through self-emissive display technology. The three GX Gallery series models (55-, 65- and 77-inch) feature a minimalist aesthetic, since backlight-free OLED technology allows for TVs just 20mm thin without need for a separate control box. As a result, the TV mounts flush to the wall akin to a piece of art in a gallery.

Meanwhile the ZX TVs (models 88 OLED ZX and 77 OLED ZX) deliver "true" 8K resolution. The company says the TVs meet and exceed the industry definition of 8K UHD TVs, as defined by the Consumer Technology Association, and are among the first qualified to use the CTA 8K UHD logo. Also in 8K TVs, the NanoCell premium LCD TV lineup has 7 models (75- and 65-inches in Nano99, Nano97, Nano95 series, 55-inch Nano95) all carrying the CTA 8K UHD logo like the OLED counterparts. On the 4K side, LG has the CX and BX models (in 77-, 65- and 55-inch) and a 48-inch CX TV.

Powering most LG 2020 OLED and 8K NanoCell TVs is the Alpha 9 Gen 3 AI processor bringing more processing power and advanced deep learning algorithms to further boost picture and sound quality. All TVs support the latest HDMI specifications, including eARC and ALLM, and are Nvidia G-Sync compatible for tear-free gaming. The 8K models can play native 8K content through HDMI and USB inputs, with support for the HEVC, VP9 and AV1 codecs.

The 2020 LG TVs are first shipping in S. Korea and the US, with European territories to follow.
