Screen Innovations (SI) launches a re-engineering of the Solo projection screen family-- now up to 3.5m wide in AC, DC and wireless lithium rechargeable options.
One of the signature features of the new SI Solo 2 motorised cassette is a decorator-friendly design. Cassette sizes start at 90m in depth and height, making them 17% smaller than the original. The Solo 2 also employs a longer-lasting rechargeable lithium-powered motor. The battery lasts for up to 2 years on a single charge and, in case of recharging, users do not need to pull out a ladder to reach and disassemble the motor casing.
Instead, the SI patent-pending magnetic charging port simplifies the process. A charging cord attaches to the Solo 2 charging port magnetically. Users simply need to extend a telescoping pole to reach the port and it magnetically clips on instantly. In addition to the rechargeable motor, a low-voltage 24V motor is also available for further installation flexibility. Another option is an AC power version with either wireless or hardwired control.
The Solo 2 accommodates a wide range of screen materials, such as the SI ambient light rejecting Slate material, highly refined white and gray materials and options rated for 8K projection. SI also says Solo 2 is the only motorised screen assembly with supports for short-throw projection materials.
