Rayva Acoustic Wall Panels for Home Theatres

Rayva announces a patent-pending process for constructing acoustical wall panels for home theatres featuring a "collapsible" design promising to reduce the time, effort and expense involved with traditional acoustic wall panels.

According to the company, the wall panels sidestep the large shipping containers, special fabric wrapping skills and complicated modifications traditional designs involve. Instead, the Rayva panels ship with a deconstructed wooden frame, while the fabric coverings are premade to fit precisely over the panel using a proprietary internal tightening system.

Customers can order the frame in any size, and installers construct it on site using nothing more than a screwdriver and included screws. A precut piece of acoustical fabric fits over the frame like bedsheet. A series of metal pulleys attached to the edge of the frame and turnbuckles on the inside strech the fabric taut, creating a fabric wall panel free of wrinkles and gaps. The panels attach to theatre walls via magnetic rail and quickly cover pre-installed acoustical absorbers, diffusers and reflectors.

Panels are available in a variety of shapes and dimensions, and can also include LED lighting elements. The fabric ships in a range of colours and designs, and in case it gets damaged or customers want to change the style or colour scheme, installers can easily set up new fabric in place of the old.
