Savant Debuts Micro Aperture Speakers

  • PDF

Savant announces the Micro Aperture line of PoE self-powered architectural loudspeakers, allowing installers to deliver entertainment content anywhere via single ethernet cable connectivity.

Savant Micro ApertureAs the company puts it, the Micro Aperture speaker "drastically" reduce the complexities of distributed audio system design and installation. Each powered speaker contains an amplifier promising to deliver superb sound quality throughout any space, since content remains in the form of a digital signal from source to speaker. All speakers also contain "Balanced Mode Radiator," a technology Savant says delivers more sound per watt of amplifier power into the listening area.

Savant offers 3 Micro Aperture models-- a self-powered PoE speaker, a companion PoE satellite speaker and a passive (4-ohm) speaker for interface with traditional audio systems. Each self-powered Micro Aperture PoE speaker can run up to x3 passive satellite speakers, and self-regulates the output power based on the PoE type of the switch or injector in use.

Since each unit is individually controlled and connected to the network, customers can easily switch room configurations. For example, the dining room speakers can play music during dinner, before becoming the rear surround channels for a theatre system at the touch of a button. The speakers are also decor-friendly, sitting flush in the ceiling and featuring compact, paintable round or square 4-inch grilles.

Install Eze tool-less installation secures the speakers to the ceiling, and the provided trim makes the speakers ideal for both new construction and retrofit projects.
