The FS-252 is the first of a range of wireless products from Atlantic Technology featuring SKAA-- a wireless audio standard designed for a dedicated ecosystem the company claims surpasses wifi in terms of both sound quality and reliability.
The FS-252 is a pair of powered two-way stereo bookshelf speakers. They are acoustically matched to work in systems with Atlantic Technology soundbars and LCR speakers, making them ideal for home theatre use. Customers can connect the speakers to a wide range of analog media sources (CD players, TVs, etc) via 3.5mm input, as well as wireless digital media sources via Bluetooth or SKAA transmitters.
A SKAA media source can be any product equipped with SKAA, such as another FS-252 or a product with an added SKAA transmitter/adapter. Small, low-cost digital transmitters add SKAA wireless capability to any analog or digital audio device. PCs, Macs, NAS drives and portable iOS, Android or Blackberry devices can also be turned into a SKAA transmitter with a USB-A, micro-USB, USB-C or Lightning adapter. Digital TOSLINK and coax S/PDIF plus stereo analog to SKAA transmitters are also available.
The FS-252 is also both a SKAA transmitter and receiver, and as a transmitter it can cast simultaneously to up to x4 additional SKAA systems, amps or headphones for single or multi-room use.
