Sonos and Ikea present the first products making the SYMFONISK wireless speaker range at Milan Design Week 2018-- a slimline bookshelf speaker and a speaker/table lamp combo, both compatible with the wider Sonos ecosystem.

Designed to "democratise the home sound system," the SYMFONISK line represents another step in the Ikea move into smart home space. The bookshelf speaker is dubbed KUNGFORS, and is wall-mountable either vertically or horizontally via custom bracket. In addition, one can simply put it on a bookshelf. Users can pair two for stereo separation, and use them as home theatre surrounds with Sonos Beam, Playbar or Playbase.

Meanwhile the as yet unnamed lamp carries a speaker, and promises a sound profile similar to the Sonos One. One can pair two for stereo sound, as well as add them to a surround sound system with the Sonos Beam, Playbar or Playbase.

The SYMFONISK range launches on August 2019.
