Bang & Olufsen takes to Milan Design Week to unveil a striking all-in-one TV/speaker system-- the Beovision Harmony unfolds a 3-channel speaker system when switched on, using a mechanism reminiscent of butterfly wings.

Beovision HarmonyThe Beovision Harmony is a high-end TV featuring a 77-inch LG OLED panel. When switched off the teak oak and aluminium speaker panels partially hide the display, and fan out while the set rises to ideal viewing height when on. Either way, the result makes for an eye-catching TV customers will surely want to show off.

“Pristine picture performance combined with truly immersive sound ensures a mesmerising viewing experience,” B&O says. “With Beovision Harmony, we wanted to create a meaningful object for the interior that reduces the visual presence of the TV and transforms it into something that people develop an emotional attachment to.”

Speaker mechanism aside, the Beovision Harmony offers the same functionality as other B&O TVs, such as integrated Tune-In and Deezer music streaming and wireless connectivity via Apple Airplay 2, built-in Chromecast and Bluetooth. A built-in 7.1 surround audio decoder and multi-room capabilities allow users to pair the TV with up to x8 B&O speakers, allowing for an immersive TV experience.

The Beovision Harmony should ship from October 2019.
