Sonus faber debuts the Palladio custom installation speaker collection at ISE 2019-- a range of 13 models, including in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, available in different combinations according to any architectural environment.
The Palladio collection comes in two lines, Level 5 and Level 6. It is named after the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, considered one of the most influential figures in Western architecture. Level 5 front panels feature satin aluminium trims framing both tweeter and mid-woofer, and the string pattern references the Sonus faber Sonetto bookshelf stand design, a reference to the use of elastic strings in the first Guarneri stands (1993).
Meanwhile the Level 6 collection makes use of structural standards typical of higher Sonus faber ranges. The front baffle is covered in leather, and the walnut wood front with hand-made maple inlays. All Palladio models are equipped with a magnetic, edgeless metal grille, and two Level 6 models (PL-664 and PW-662) also feature the classic elastic string grille.
Each line has two angled models (PC-562P and PC-563P for Level 5, PC-662P and PC-664P for Level 6) increasing the versatility of the collection, and boast the option to add a passive subwoofer (PS-G101). The collection features 29mm silk dome tweeters with DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology, and mid-ranges and mid-woofers equipped with custom natural fibre and cellulose pulp diaphragms. The crossover network of the entire line features Paracross Topology circuitry.
The Palladio speakers are available from Q3 2019.
